About Us: The Founder

For the past decade, I have had the great fortune to work with thousands of nurses throughout California as a team development consultant and trainer at Kaiser Permanente. The trainings I facilitated addressed critical thinking, precepting skills, cultural competency, assertive communication, team building and conflict resolution.

The issues nurses usually cited as their top priority challenges to address included managing work-flow, ineffective communication among team members and a lack of accountability; my experience working with nurses has provided the inspiration for this site. Along with my direct experience working with nurses, the content on this site has been informed by my work as a licensed psychotherapist and coach.

Just as nurses work on a team, SupportForNurses.com is a team effort. While my role is the founder and primary writer of the articles on the site, there is a team of experts who have contributed their ideas, considerable expertise and writing talents: the highly informative tips booklets and products, they authored have made this site an invaluable resource and asset to nurses, nurse educators and nurse recruiters around the globe.
