65 Tips for Foreign Born Nurses Working in American Hospitals is an essential tool for all Nursing Managers and Hospital Nurse Educators to have and share with all of their internationally educated Nurses. The booklet has captured the essence of what these nurses lack and helps them understand and navigate in our American Health System. BRAVO!
Orienting Foreign-born Nurses to Work Effectively in American Hospitals: A Training Manual for Health Educators I am LOVING this manual! I just designed a “Critical Thinking” class – and it uses a lot of similar information. My class was actually designed with some of our foreign trained nurses in mind, because they seem to not question very well. So far, this manual is fantastic and goes along perfectly with the class I will be teaching.
60 Terrific Tips for a Successful Transition: New Grad to Competent Nurse is an excellent resource to round out our program for new nurses; it is particularly helpful in providing organizational tips and tips on physician-nurse relationships.
I gave a copy of Tips and Strategies for Effective Time Management to one of my nurses; she refers to this document for guidance while doing floor orientation. One of my experienced nurses (with three years of experience) said this document has increased her organizational skills.
I really think the Tips Booklet 60 Terrific Tips for a Successful Transition: New Grad to Competent Nurse for new grads is terrific. It really lets the new grads know that they are not alone when they start to feel overwhelmed with the new job. I can tell them that it takes a good year for them to feel comfortable but when they see if written down it really helps them know I am not making it up!

I can’t thank you enough for this resource.
We are the largest privately held job placement company in the New York metro area. We have over 100 foreign-born nurses who have immigrated to America through our International program. We are using the hard copies of your 65 Tips for Foreign-born Nurses Working in American Hospitals booklet and loving it! Our Nurses and our facilities tell us it provides invaluable information!
Orienting Foreign-born Nurses to Work Effectively in American Hospitals: A Training Manual for Health Educators should be incorporated into every US Hospital’s RN orientation that hires internationally educated nurses. This toolkit helps our Hospital Educators learn as well as teach their US and International RN staff some of the cultural differences between the US and other country’s Hospitals. This toolkit begins to assist all US RNs to become a united winning team. All of the Hospital’s staff and patients benefit with this increased insight and knowledge while delivering patient care.
The Tips Booklet, 60 Terrific Tips for a Successful Transition: New Grad to Competent Nurse was very helpful; I am a senior (BSN) nursing student, and I did a presentation on transitioning into a nursing practice for my fellow students; your tips were great! Thank you very much!
